
PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS SPONSORSHIP AND SUPER VISA
Super Visa - OPEN
This is a special visa that enables parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to come to Canada for a lengthened stay as long-term visitors. A successful applicant will receive a multiple-entry visa that can last for up to 10 years. A Super Visa remains valid for up to two years at a time rather than be renewed after every six months like a standard visitor visa.
Apart from being required to meet standard visa requirements, parents and/or grandparents applying for a Super Visa must also meet some additional requirements such as pass an immigration medical examination for example.

Parents and Grandparents sponsorship - WILL REOPEN IN 2021
As a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you may be eligible to bring your parents and/or grandparents to the country via one of two popular sponsorship programs, namely the Family Class Sponsorship Program and the Super Visa Program.
NB: The parents and grand parent application is closed are according to the IRCC will reopen in 2021.
Family Class Sponsorship is a program composing of a stream for both parents and grandparents of citizens and permanent residents of Canada. Initially, a successful applicant will be granted permanent residence in Canada and qualify for application for full Canadian Citizenship once comply with the requirements .
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
- Be 18 years and above;
- You must surpass the minimum required income level for the program;
As a sponsor, you also need to demonstrate that your level of income meets the minimum requirements by presenting your notices of assessment as provided to you by the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) in support of your sponsorship. You will also be required to prove that you’ve met this minimum income level for at least three consecutive years.
NB: If you’re married or are in a common-law partnership, both of your incomes may be included.
